Just a few weeks ago, Samsung’s semiconductor division announced that it had worked with Synopsis, one of the major chip design solutions providers, to increase the efficiency of the 3nm chips it produces.

Samsung apparently wants to start producing the first 3-nanometer chips for the mass market as early as July 2024, although they will initially be used in the new Galaxy Watch 7 smartwatch and not in smartphones. The Exynos 2500 will only roll off the production line in the updated node at a later date later in the year.

At least that’s what SamMobile magazine claims, Samsung will once again rely on its proven strategy for the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ of equipping some of its own smartphones with its own chips. In Europe, the two “smaller” models of the new series of top smartphones are likely to come with the Exynos 2500. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will probably again work with a Qualcomm chip, which is likely to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, it is said.
